(VIDEO) As ever show knows, the on-going and vicious recession has made getting sponsorship little better than impossible. Running an international showjumping show, where the Grand Prix alone carries a prize-fund of €20,000, poses problems of depressing scale.
In a bid to overcome this problem, the Fagan family , who own Mullingar Equestrian Centre and will be hosting the Mullingar International Horse Show 5th-7th June, organised a night at the dogs with a difference. It was fun, exciting, good-humoured and,above all, brought in the crowds. Pony racing was the big attraction. We bring you a flavour of the night.
