Cian O' Connor Takes Second leg of Chippison

(Editoral, video to follow) In yet another exciting round of the HSI Chippison Spring Tour, Meath Native Cian O' Connor rode to Victory at  Cavan Equestrian Centre aboard Stephen O'Connor's and Castlemartin Stud's Complete. O' Connor made it look easy as he also claimed the runner-up spot with the ever-consistent Splendor.Both these mounts have clocked up countless wins at home and aborad but this was their first outing of 2010.

Clement Mc Mahon  and Valentino put in a impressive performace but failed to catch the leader and had to contend with third place. Despite not claiming the winner's purse, Mc Mahon now tops the leader board with 14 points. In second place is Cian'Connor and Conor Drain with 10 points a piece.

cian photoYoung Rider Conor Drain was double handed in the jump-off but failed to make it into the top six. His efforts today (Sunday) was enought to take the TRI Equestrian Young Rider prize for the second week in a row.

Fellow Meath native John Floody took fourth place with Jim Monk's Ashbourne while Showjumpers Chairman Edward Doyle took fifth with the homebred Samgemjee.
